"Me" Parking

After the week it was, nail-biting on election day, followed by the shrieking relief when Obama clearly won, I was amused to see this hand-lettered sign on Saturday in Soho. Is this a remnant of the kind of (bi-partisan) self-absorption that we now have the opportunity to leave behind? Don’t get me wrong; I know Obama’s no savior. But he talks a fresh politics that refrains from clobbering us with good ole' boy condescension and country club winks and nods. Maybe it's time we constituents curb our egos, too.
